That's the PSC question for scholarship applicants. Seriously, it's harder than it looks even though it gives direction. At least UCAS I just need to gush over engineering and science. Now I have to think about my values and beliefs... which is really hard because whatever I believe in, I haven't done. And whatever I have done... what have I done really?
Too bad I can't say something like dreams are more important than reality. Gosh, if they employed such a person to come up with policies for Singapore, we'll all just be floating in the air.
The word limit is 500 words and I've already used 192 to explain Service with Honour which is so standard. I can't think of ways to make my essay stand out because my personality doesn't really stand out in the first place. 90% of the people in this world are nice people and I'm quite sure I'm one of the 90%. And somehow I think the description make me look very suitable for teaching. I hate the word limit. If I write about wanting to pay back Singapore, I'll end up with only one value left. It's hard to be truthful and creative and find experiences that demonstrates what you say.
I haven't gone blog visiting yet... i will do so one day, after I figure out everything there is to figure out about myself.
"As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live." - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Yeah, I'm resorting to quotes. I'm not going to used that although I find that more true then lighting candles and changing the world.
Random statement 9
"If you don't know what you can do, even when people tell you what to do, you can only choose to do as you're told and hope you get it right or yell back at them. If you choose the 1st option, you might fail and know what you can't do. If you choose the 2nd option, at least you will know that there's one thing you can do."
That's not an encouraging quote. But that's why it's a random statement and not a quote.
